I aim at exploring thoughts and emotions by using the mediums of photography and sculpture. Combining the digital and analogue, realms of the virtual and the tactile, I present the viewer with worlds, which I feel most comfortable visiting myself.
I am a doll maker whose speciality are porcelain ball jointed dolls.
I photograph people, objects and places in order to freeze time, space and beauty, even though the photograph stretches far beyond its frame and limits.
I retouch photographs professionally.
My world consists of all the above. I present to you things which I'm afraid would go unnoticed otherwise. I am inviting you to stop for a while and enjoy what you see, what you can nearly touch... Stop and look. Stop and feel. Come in and enjoy your visit!

Ilona Jurgiel lives and works in London. She is a professional photographer working on projects in art and documentary photography and pursuing her commercial career as an art, doll and commercial photographer and porcelain ball jointed doll maker.
She has graduated from the University of Westminster (BA Honours in Photographic Arts) and completed the University's MA Photographic Studies course with Distinction.
Her work has been shown internationally; in the UK in galleries such as The Old Truman Brewery, P3, the Polish Cultural Institute (London), and the View from the Top (Nottingham).
Ilona has successfully completed an intense course of professional ball jointed doll making in St. Petersburg, Russia. She was taught by one of the most talented and knowledgable porcelain doll makers in the world- Lidia Snul of BJtales.
Lidia and Ilona also collaborated on photographic and video projects, the results of which are to be expected very shortly!
